Why I am
running...
For nearly a decade I have served as Auditor for Polk County, the
largest of Iowa's 99 counties.
I am proud of the work I have
accomplished during this time and I am now looking to bring my
experience, leadership and vision to Iowa's Secretary of State's
office.
My
experience, passion for public service and commitment to making our
electoral process more accessible afford me the requisite skills to be
an excellent Secretary of State.
As Secretary of State, I will work to
ensure fair elections throughout Iowa. I will invest in new
technologies to make voting simpler across the state, as I have done in
Polk County.
In
this new age of technology, the most important thing we can have in the
Secretary of State's office is someone who is concerned about protecting
the integrity of the voting process.
Elections need to be fair. There
is not room for doubt when it comes to protecting this basic right. As
Secretary of State, I will protect our open and clean electoral system,
but I cannot do it without your support.
I
